What does Framed Serenity mean?

I wanted a name that represents portrait photography in an abstract way. Essentially the name had to be available as an Internet Domain Name, and it had to be short and snappy. My friends came up with some great suggestions, but they had already been taken as Domain Names. I was over at a friend’s place and looked at his extensive DVD collection. I ran through many names of film titles then saw the brilliant film Serenity by Buffy the Vampire Slayer created Joss Whedon. I always loved that name, but the name itself was taken, so I played with a few verbs connected to Photography and came up with “Framed”. The name stuck ever since and a few hours later I purchased the domain, did a few things to arrange the hosting and here we are!

Now, I’m just looking for a logo…

Are you ready for your close up?

In our very image conscious society, it is controversial to say that the way we look is important. Vanity is an untamed emotion that is often misinterpreted. Well, I say it is very important how we present ourselves. This is the service I provide.

I realised there is a gap in the market that is rarely catered for, affordable portrait photography. There are many well established companies out there who give you an all day ‘experience’ but all that really matters is you walk away with fantastic photos of you and your loved ones. So ask yourself, what is that worth? £400, £800? How about those companies charging you £1000 just for a few photos!

Let me say that I believe they are worth their money. They provide an elite service for those who really want the A-List treatment. However I believe that most people just want to be treated like movie stars without having to break the bank, this is where I come in. I can provide you studio quality photograph and a fraction of the price. You may be thinking that I have taken short cuts to provide this service; not at all. The biggest difference is big studios own a ‘studio’. Therefore their overheads are much greater than mine.

I use the same cameras, the same lighting setups and practically everything else.

So if you need family portrait photograph or just want to find out more, then please contact me on closeup@framedserenity.com and I will give you all you need to know.
